I hope I am not the only person that watched "So you think you can dance" this season. It was a great journey for thewinner. The show took on an almost Cinderella quality this year with Krunkdancer Russell. He was the onedancer that was not supposed to make it out of the preliminaries, let alonemake it to the final top 20.
To say that it was amazing to see him win the show and that lastnight was magical is an understatement. It was the first time I actually clapped and cried while watching areality competition show. What made the night extra emotional was thefact that Russell injured himself while dancing during the finale. Hecame out with the last 5 dancers hobbling on one leg with tears streaming downhis face, he was in PAIN. Plus you could see real fear on his facethat it could be a serious injury. I watched the show, praying forRussell, as each of his final five competitors was eliminated.
When they announced his name, I shouted, clapped and criedtears of joy. Here was a young boy with only a hope, a dream, and a wish. Through hard work, discipline and an amazing ability to learn new techniques; heWON!
So how does this relate to The JobConnection?

This is an amazing video that really highlights the value and future movement of Internet Technology. What we are attempting to achieve at "Get Me A Real Job" would not have been physically possible 10-15 years ago. However, with the reach of internet globalization, our way of conducting business (telecommuting) is becoming the normal business model of the future.
I remember years ago when the movie "The Net" starring Sandra Bullock was in theatres, thinking is it possible that NO ONE knew who she was after she had worked at her company for five years? The answer is yes... I believe it. I only physically met a handful of individuals at the last company I worked at for more than 3 years.
As we build our virtual offices aorund the globe, with their multi-faceted sales, customer service, data entry, web promotion and business development positions around the world, it becomes more and more glaringly apparent how truthful this video is.
This video really hit home. Watch it now:
